Editor's Note to Legal Management Journal (Part II)

Greetings of Peace!

I am happy to present the Legal Management Journal (Part II). While Legal Management Journal (Part I) contained articles on various commercial law topics including corporate governance and rehabilitation, intellectual property law, e-commerce, and taxation, Part II is entirely devoted to the articles on the topic of multinational corporations and enterprises (MNEs) and Philippine law (public law aspect) as follows:

· “Legal Personality of Multinational Corporations in International Law” (Barlis 2006)

· “Corporate Social Responsibility and the Philippine Experience” (Antiquiera 2006)

· “Jurisprudential Basis of Nationality of Multinational Corporations in International Law” (Raro 2006)

· “Settlement of Disputes involving Multinational Enterprises: A Report” (Tomboc 2006)

· “International Legal Responsibility of States over MNEs” (Manicad 2006)

· “A Case Study in Multinational Corporate Accountability: Ecuador’s Indigenous People’s Struggle for Redress” (Valencia 2006)

· “International Corporate Responsibility: The Problem of Enforcing Liability on Multinational Corporations” (Yalao-Villegas 2006)

· “The Saipan Workers’ Lawsuit” (Caigoy-Barroga 2006)

· “Multinational Corporations and Enterprises and Philippine Law (Public Law Aspect) (Tomboc 2006)

The last article in the list was added to the individual reports to provide a synthesis paper on the topic.

I am also pleased to announce the addition of the Archer Forum Series to host students’ reaction and comments to the various articles and/or issues presented in the Legal Management Journal.

The Legal Management Journal is now accepting articles and other contributions for Part III. You may email them and your reaction and/or comments to tombocj@dlsu.edu.ph or j_tomboc@yahoo.com.

Thank you very much for your continuing support.

May God bless us all!
